Wood Green High School will be open for the new term to all students on Thursday 2nd September 2010. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BE IN SCHOOL BY 8.50AM. Year 7 Students should meet by the clock at the front of school. All other years need to go to their form rooms. Any rumours that the school is closed are untrue. ========================================================= Well done to all our students who achieved outstanding results last summer. Your results put us in the top 2% of schools. 99% pass rate at A Level. 70% of these were A,B or C grades. 59% of Year 11 students got 5 or more GCSE's including English and Maths Wood Green High School is a thriving and vibrant Community. It is a rather unusual Comprehensive school because we are a Specialist Sports, Maths and Computing College as well as a "normal" school. This means that as well as doing the National Curriculum subjects, we also offer a huge range of sports activities - something to suit everyone's taste and level of ability. We have a large Health and Fitness Suite, a superb Sports Hall with Indoor and Outdoor Cricket Nets, professional standard table tennis facilities as well as two gymnasia, extensive playing fields and the opportunity to try more unusual sports such as rock climbing and whitewater rafting, for example. |
